Casa Selva (Jungle House) is a truly special place. A rustic, cozy cabin tucked into the Costa Rican jungle, overlooking the rocky shoreline.
Sitting on the front porch, or laying in the hammock, one gets the feeling of disconnect from the world and a connection with nature. Nothing but the oceans roar, the sounds of birds, lizards and troops of howler monkeys coming and going through the jungle canopy overhead. On occasion you can also see sloths, white faced monkeys, and other jungle creatures.
The cabina is a good sized studio with a full kitchenette, double bed, and bureaus, a large closet and a full bath with indoor/outdoor shower. There are screen doors on the shower that open out to the jungle in absolute privacy. Perfectly comfortable for short or long term stays.
The cabina has a private driveway leading to garden walkways which are lovely and lighted by night. Because of the shaded jungle setting, it is naturally air conditioned with mountain and sea breezes.
The cabina is partially screened. Nature will make its presence known from time to time, but most find it more fascinating than anything else. Casa Selva gets my Mom’s stamp of approval as her favorite spot on the property. Your stay here will be the quintessential Costa Rican experience.
